"...Is not a status file"

I've been using virtual master for a week or so now. But I've had to delete my progress and restart multiple times already. This is because every time the program creates a third backup status file, it'll stop running telling me none of the status files are valid, which doesn't make sense. I'm not sure what's going on or how to fix it. Please help.

I have not heard of this problem before. The file must be corrupted in some way.

Do you have some kind of online backup program running? Something that backups a file as soon as it is written? Those programs tend to course problems for VM, because VM writes on the status file very rapidly.
